Poison and bone necros are pretty cool and can make up for lost defense by just summoning creatures to serve as a shield while they unload. Her strength is against packs of enemies but when it comes down to just 3 or 2 or 1 enemy she gets slowed down an awful bit. The Lightning Fury Amazon can be particularly destructive and make cows fold over like cornstalks in a hurricane. With Life tap they can all be damn near invincible but as soon as you hit someone with iron maiden curse on you, you're screwed (the only exception being the vengeance pally and beserker barb). The bad thing about these builds, however, is iron maiden. But my personal favorites are the Tesladin (Holy shock) and vengeance pally. The zealot, conentrate barb, frenzy barb are all efficient with the proper (expensive!) equipment. Hammerdin has got the fire power and nobody can resist him however, hammers aren't very accurate and it can be tricky sometimes to kill a single enemy as quickly as the others.įire and Cold sorcs are the real strong arms and can do a whole crap load of damage, but their weaknesses are also substantial, bad all around defense and their useless on immunes and basically dependant on other characters(watch out for mana burn).Ĭertain melee characters can become quite powerful but often require extremely expensive gear to come to the level of other powerful characters. My basic view is that there are many great builds each with their weakness and strengths.
